The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
